The Design Exchange heritage building was a masterful expression of its time and today stands as one of Canada’s foremost Art Deco and Streamlined Modern landmarks featuring the original Trading Floor as its centerpiece. A multi-million dollar restoration has returned the Trading Floor to its 1937 splendor.

The Trading Floor is located on the second floor of the Design Exchange and it is the most spacious of our rooms. The breathtaking 40-foot-high environment features eight murals by renowned artist Charles Comfort as well as the elegant VALE INCO Grand Staircase. It is a reminder of a bygone era, and invokes a sense of nostalgia in visitors.
